The Shaw Prize Foundation and the International Astronomical Union (IAU) have joined forces with the common objective of promoting astronomy and harnessing its potential as a tool for education. The essence of the collaboration involves acknowledging and commending outstanding achievements in the field of professional astronomy, while concurrently advancing the discipline’s role in education.
The Shaw Prize is a major partner of the Hong Kong Laureate Forum (HKLF). The two have embarked on a collaborative effort to foster scientific innovation and facilitate knowledge exchange in various disciplines of science and technology, both within Hong Kong and on a global scale. The week-long programme is designed to incorporate a selection of intellectual seminars, dialogues, workshops, poster sessions and other activities, providing an abundance of opportunities for exchanges between Shaw Laureates and young scientists.
