Nomination for The Shaw Prize 2017 began in mid September 2016 and ended on 30 November 2016. From this year onward, nomination is done by electronic filing and the Shaw Prize Foundation would like to thank the nominators for their enthusiastic support and endless patience in adapting to the new system of nomination.

Members on the Selection Committee for the 3 prize categories will soon screen the nominations and will, in around April present a proposal for final candidates for the Shaw Prize Council’s consideration. Announcement of the winners will be made in late May or early June 2017.
