The Shaw Prize marks its 21st year in 2024 since the first prize was presented. Four distinguished laureates received the Shaw Prize this year and they will be honoured at the Award Presentation Ceremony on 12 November 2024, at the Grand Hall of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wanchai, Hong Kong. This ceremony will be officiated by the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the Honourable John KC Lee.

Shaw Laureate Space Theatre Lecture: Walk with the Stars
The Hong Kong Space Museum and the Shaw Prize Foundation are pleased to present the “Shaw Laureate Space Theatre Lecture: Walk with the Stars”. During the lecture, Professor Kulkarni will share his story with the stars, discussing his research motivations, as well as the joys and challenges he has faced. Using the digital sky projection system in the Space Theatre, the presentation will also simulate the variable and transient astronomical objects that hold special significance for him. This lecture is designed specifically for high school physics students.
