The Shaw Prize 2020 finally drew to a close and in a blink of eye, The Shaw Prize of another year is again upon us. The Shaw Prize 2021 is the 18th year of the award and the Announcement of the Shaw Laureates Press Conference 2021 will be held on Tuesday, 1 June 2021 at HKT 15:00 (GMT0700) at the Kowloon Shangri-La Hotel in Hong Kong. The announcement will be live-streamed online on the following platforms of The Shaw Prize:

The announcement of the Shaw Laureates of the three prize categories, namely Astronomy, Life Science and Medicine, and Mathematical Sciences, will be made by the Members of The Shaw Prize Council in English, Putonghua and Cantonese. The nomination for The Shaw Prize 2021 began in early September 2020 and ended on 30 November 2020 via electronic filing. Members on the Selection Committees for the three prize categories screened the nominations, and presented a final proposal for The Shaw Prize Council’s consideration.
