Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, The Shaw Prize Award Ceremony 2020 will be held virtually on Thursday, 20 May 2021. Virtual ceremony will be live-streamed on website (www.shawprize.org), Facebook page and YouTube Channel of The Shaw Prize.
The Shaw Prize, which was launched in 2002, consists of three annual prizes: Astronomy, Life Science and Medicine, and Mathematical Sciences. Each prize carries a monetary award of US$1.2 million. This is the seventeenth year that the Prize has been awarded and there are six Shaw Laureates in 2020.
